“We got into the cottage and John and Barbara stopped in to make sure we had everything we needed and the cottage was warm enough) on a cold chilly February day). Our dogs were welcomed (we brought our own bed cover but they had one available too!). Great location to visit Belfast. The cottage was comfortable with a well supplied kitchen. Wonderful stay!”

“This was just what we needed. Right on the water, quiet surroundings and the neighbors were so nice they brought us fresh vegetables.”

“Enjoyed a quick weekend getaway on the lake in Newcastle. It was a great place to rest and watch the changing season with beautiful islands and fishing all close to town for oysters, a river cruise, and a nearby brewery. Appreciate that you are dog-friendly as well!”

“Loved this place. Amazing quiet location with so many water toys and activities. Had zero need to leave the whole weekend because there was so much to do there. ”

“My wife and I have become attached to this little cabin, after returning several years in a row. Following a brief interruption we were happy to see that the new owners had changed very little. It's snug but has all that is necessary for us, and it's in the right place. ”

“Great location- 2 clean cabins and great view of the pond! Off the beaten path. Busier road then expected so walking between the cabins with smaller children would have to be supervised - limited grocery storage for the five of us - later check in the most and earlier check - out! Fans kept us cool - beds comfortable ! Overall a few flaws but one of our favorite picks to date!”

“My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay! It was EXACTLY what we were looking for. The place was very private and had amazing views of the lake from the back fire pit and porch. The interior was adorable…. extremely clean, super functional, warm, and it had just everything we needed. Would have loved to have had hot water to wash dishes at the kitchen sink, but other than that, we have zero complaints! A must visit if you like quaint, quiet weekends away. We would love to visit again!……

“To say this was by far the best property I have ever booked is an understatement. It was beautiful and fully stocked with anything you could possibly need! The cleanliness was impeccable! You can tell that these owners love and care for this property! We plan to come back for an extended stay.”

“Excellent host! Great connections on the island for everything. Great information on Ferry status, etc. Cabin is truly rustic, spartan appointments as described. Great location and view west with good weather. Bring your goodies, luxuries from the mainland. Lobsters are available tho!”

“The GOOD: Checking in was a breeze, the location for what we needed was excellent and the living spaces where comfortable and cozy. The BAD: The outside of property was not well kept and the seating outside was not what was portrayed in the pictures. Deck was a bit sketchy and table and chairs where dirty as was the window sills on the inside of cabin. The UGLY: The basement was wet and musty and smelly (like cat piss). Would not allow anyone to go down because when you open the basement door……

“If you’re looking for a relaxing lakeside cabin to retreat and relax in nature, this is the one to book! Plenty of space for 6 adults with clean and comfortable rooms. Well stocked kitchen so you can cook up if you want. Lots of thoughtful extras and plenty of firewood. Canoes were lots of fun too! We didn’t want to leave. Also not far from Camden which is the perfect little seaside town. Highly recommend this place to anyone!”
