“We booked this as a large group and it didn't disappoint. The apartments were well laid out with ample space in the living room areas. There was great cleanliness throughout and areas stayed at a nice temperature. The accomodation was really quiet at night and the key system although awkward at first was easier than keys. “The Swan studios were ideal for what we wanted. Plenty of space inside with everything you need for the stay. Kettle, iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Shower and bath with plenty of good hot water, tv, fridge, microwave and a comfortable double bed. Very little noise from outside and the car can be parked right outside the studio door. Ok if you do want to heat food up but not if you want to cook from scratch . Very close to Morpeth and easy access to A1 of coastal routes for touring……

Two main issues, when I arrived the apartment (1) smelt terribly of damp, probably mainly to do with the fact that no windows were able to open. “Fantastic place to stay! We stayed for three nights with our two children - they loved staying in "the castle". Really well furnished and had everything we needed. The views are fantastic and some great walks in the area. Easy to drive to Durham and the Beamish Museum. Highly recommended!”
