“I wanted to take my kids to Luray Caverns and to explore Skyline Drive because those were good memories from my childhood. The kids (10 & 12) enjoyed both. We loved being right on the river but I'll admit the bugs were out in full force this first weekend of May. This was our first time renting a pet friendly home so we could bring our small dog and I am thrilled to say that you could not tell that other dogs had been staying there. The home was clean and did not smell at all like "dog." Thanks……

“Had a wonderful three day stay in this rustic mountaintop cabin. Kitchen was decently stocked, both bathrooms worked well, and beds were comfortable. Owner was very responsive to the one question we had. Would definitely book again.”

“Myself and a few friends stayed here in late April. The views from the cabin are as good or better than many on the Appalachian Trail or other nearby trails and parks, and the cabin itself was well appointed. The hosts were great and very prompt with communication. The road and driveway to access the property are gravel and somewhat steep, but I didn't feel like we needed high clearance or 4 wheel drive at any point (in good weather). I would definitely stay here again.”

“This is a great cabin on the river! Very clean and excellently stocked. It had everything we needed! Let friendly. Our dogs loved the pet enclosure and it was great having it right off the deck. The owner checked on us after a storm to make sure everything was good. We will definitely be returning!”

“Our stay was exactly what the doctor ordered. My partner and I were looking for a nice waterfront getaway house for the weekend and this place delivered. Only wish we could have stayed a little longer! Perfect for a couple or small family, the house had some nice perks. The outdoor decks were nice for relaxing and dinning. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tube but it did look inviting. We did put the canoes to good use though and enjoyed the riverside fire pit at night. Would definitely……

“Everything was easy: check in, temperature control, cooking, resting, and finding activities. Too cold for canoeing unfortunately, but we loved the view of the river nonetheless! Great for mountain goer's of all experience levels.”

“We stayed for a long weekend following Christmas - needed to get away from the city for a bit. It's a beautiful house with a great view and good location. It was just 3 of us so the space was fine -- I am not sure I would recommend it for a larger group in winter, as you'd really be on top of each other. For the other three seasons, the deck, hot-tub, and firepit would all be great ways to spread out. Would definitely love to go back sometime in the future!”

“We were looking for a quick getaway from the dmv area and it was wonderful as in as little as two hours we felt like we were deep in the mountains. I love how close it was to good restaurants like the West Main Street Beer and Wine Garden w live music and great sandwiches to the Asian Station where we sat looking at beautiful mountains on their outdoor dinnng area. “This was a great property, the pictures do not do it justice. The inside is huge and well laid out. The water slide was game changer. The pool was not cleaned when we arrived and did not have a pool net on the property, so we communicated with the manager and they had someone come out right away.Also, no linens provided except blankets and also no shampoo, conditioner, or body soap was provided - just little things that I think can be improved.But we loved it and will be back!”
