“Great location and very near to church in Akureyri. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, and should be the best I met in 2-week stay in Iceland. Rooms are normal in size, neat and tidy. Breakfast included in room charge though abit overpriced”

“Acco guesthouse is a great walkable distance from a handful of dining options and shopping. The room we stayed in was very spacious and the beds were large and comfortable. The bathroom however, was quite tight. The shower ledge takes up a lot of room even though the shower is very small. The ledge also had a decent size chunk out of it which was a big hazard when we had just woken up in the morning and weren’t used to our surroundings. ”

“Staff are generally nice and friendly, there is a bar downstairs which serves good food, many locals came for dinner so is quite vibrant if you would like to mingle with people from different counties. However the room does not include duvet which means you either have to rent one (1100 isk) or bring your own sleeping bag. You will have to bring your luggage upstairs too.”

“After a long, exhausting drive from the East, my family & I arrived in Akureyri around 1:00 am. We were completely exhausted after driving from the South & just ready to get some rest. However, our check-in hit a small bump -- we were given the wrong code to our apartment & couldn’t get in. Thankfully, when I called the staff, he responded quickly & provided a new code.
