“This little cabin was perfect for our trip. The beds were cozy and comfy me and my husband both slept great. It’s right on a small lake where we kayaked. We plan to be back with the kids. Also the campground itself was the most peaceful campground we’ve ever been to, we had the windows open the whole time and never heard a peep from the neighbors. ”

“Me and my husband were looking for a nice quiet place away and we learned that's exactly what we got! Very little traffic on the road, you felt like you were the only ones around. I would definitely go back but when we arrived there was a for sale sign. It's a wonderful place to stay. And I hope we can go back next year!”

“This little cabin was just right for our weekend getaway. The morning view off the lake alone are worth it. The only thing i will say is that the parking situation is a bit tight due the cabin being in an RV park. I don't believe we would have been able to get our truck and boat parked there. Otherwise, its a perfect little cabin getaway. Very, very quiet, peaceful atmosphere. ”

“This is a great place. We had 3 families staying here w kids for our local "Friends and Family gathering" at the Catawba park. Downstairs has beds for those that need quiet space and there is a great deck where we saw a bunch of humming birds as well as turkeys and deer. Beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, and lots of places for people to hang out and play cards in the evening.”

“We were a small group going to a larger family reunion. The location was fantastic as we were 5 minutes away from the park where the reunion was being held. “We had a wonderful week at the Grouse Haus. The house is large and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked. The views out the window are beautiful. The lake is shallow by the pier so a large boat might not be able to dock but it's perfect for launching kayaks or canoes. the lake is quite large and the Elk River is beautiful. we really enjoyed kayaking and exploring the river and inlets on the lake.
