“Bed and Berries is a great place for families visiting the region. It was our first trip to the area and Sheri met us with her signature chocolate strawberries and lots of suggestions on which wineries are best and places to eat. Everyday a new sweet treat welcomed us from our day trips. Pool was a must in the afternoons as it was unusually hot. We highly recommend.”

“This hotel is a real piece of history and is decorated and furnished accordingly, so don't expect king sized modern beds and air conditioning. However, if , like me, you appreciate people taking the effort to give you an unforgettable experience of how things used to be, this is the place. The town itself is a lovely reminder of what the Gold Country was like in the late 1800s with lots of old buildings along a main street. The hotel sits in the middle of the town and looks just like it must……

When I spoke with the owner, she was offended that I tried to use a hotels.com free night award at her B&B...in fact, she refused to honor it. Fast-forward to our arrival and check-in was awkward; the parking lot is on one end of the house and you have to walk the length of the inn on an old sidewalk to get to reception...it was……
