“Amazing stay in Villa Gianlica ! The hotel is scrupulously clean and so quiet and peaceful. Our room was completely on its own with an amazing terrace overlooking the sea. Everywhere else around is so busy so the hotel is absolutely perfect to relax in. All the staff were so helpful, you feel that they are your friends. We had a problem with our car to the airport not turning up and Marika spent nearly 1.5 hours trying to get us a car to catch our flight, if it had not been for her we would have……

We found our room, the king suite spacious and elegantly decorated, however there was a strong smell of drains from the bathroom which sadly didn’t get any better even by keeping the fan on. “All in all the room was really nice. Very clean and comfortable, and really conveniently located just a few mins walk from one of the entrances to the pompei ruins. However the 4 flights of stairs to get up to the top floor where all of their rooms are was a lot with luggage in tow, and the parking lot was an amusement park that didnt take cards. It was a nice place to park all in all, but having to walk almost a mile to find the nearest atm was a bit rough. I just wish we had been informed……

“This place has an incredible view, so beautiful. It’s little hidden which we loved. You can take bus from downtown Amalfi which goes every 30 minutes until 11pm. You have to buy ticket downtown from the guy in yellow vest who is usually next to the buses, its 1.50 which is super affordable. Unfortunately you cant buy tickets in bus so I would suggest to buy couple of them right when you get to town. Leonardo was very helpful and texted me through WhatsApp how to get there and sent me picture of……
