“So peaceful! We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed some great mountain biking. Lots of wildlife and very good wild swimming.”

“Very nice apartment with very easy parking and convenient for Kirkcudbright and its environs.”

“We had a lovely few days at Stellock house, helped by decent winter weather. The house is in a perfect out-of-the-way location but not too remote. The garden is large and safe for dogs, there’s a really nice brazier for an outdoor evening fire and we appreciated the provision of logs and kindling at this time of year. The house was warm, clean and cosy- it wasn’t really warm enough to use the conservatory which was a shame as it’s a beautiful addition to the property. There are really good……

“Lovely stay at this comfortably cosy cottage. Hosts were great. Lovely welcome basket also tea, coffee and sugar. Great dog friendly cottage. Fantastic location.”

“The house was perfect for our family of 7, with four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All rooms were a good size with a large kitchen dinner. The bonus for us with two teenage grandchildren was the pool table and table tennis. Would go back anytime.”

“Park Cottage is set in a lovely location in Cally Woods (so many great walks and cycle opportunities). Also with use of the Cally Palace Hotel facilities including the swimming pool. However the house was unclean, especially the kitchen with unusable pans and not enough cutlery to sit 9 people in one setting. There was black mould on the downstairs bathroom ceiling. Such a shame as the cottage is a great space for families and could be lovely, but when I have fed back about these issues I have……

“The property is lovely. The problem is the listing on Vrbo does not explain the pricing correctly and our full party details were not passed on . Resulting in us having pay extra money the day after we arrived . And the cottage is not worth that amount of money.”

“Lovely above stable flat. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside but only 10 mins drive from nearest town. Very warm with wood burning stove and central heating.Well equipped and very comfortable ”

“1 night stay as part of a longer holiday. Stayed previously at the Cally Palace and had a great stay. The room was well appointed in a quiet area of the hotel and was very comfortable with views towards the woods at the rear of the hotel. We had an evening meal which was very enjoyable, our table being close to an open log fire. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the A75 but is far enough away that there is no noise from passing traffic. The breakfast was good, there being plenty of choice……
