This was a birthday visit and the staff went above and beyond, even the staff at 1509 as well with a 15% discount on dinner as guests of the kress, free Rock climbing as a guest right next door to the Kress, first Friday celebration, brunch at Reid's Apothecary down the street, the farmers market at Mary Ross Park, shopping on Newcastle, enjoying one of the park areas near the hotel...I felt so very special. “Comfy, comfy bed and pillows. Shower had good water pressure and it was nice and hot. The price was right. FYI, no coffee pot in the room but Starbucks and Burger Kingis within walking distance and no hair dryer”

“The check-in staff member was friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well-maintained. The lawns were cut and there was no trash laying around. There was plenty of safety lighting in the parking area. Our non-smoking room was clean, well-equipped, and had no odor of smoke like some of the hotels that offer "non-smoking" rooms. The breakfast was nice. All-in-all a very pleasant stay.”
