“Kenji picked us up from near the ferry port on Miyajima island after messaging a few days before to arrange with clear instructions. On the way to his farm, we had a lovely chat about his life and career as a translator, our lives, and Miyajima. He let us stop off to look at a beautiful view of the sea from the road. Kenji was an incredibly attentive host, showing us all around his vegetable patch, outdoor bath, and the traditional Japanese style room we were staying in. Everything was so……
