“After our hotel in Mirissa was double booked for New Years we was very happy that we spended the extra money upgraded to Dickwalle Resort and Spa. We immediately felt home with a nice room, good breakfast and dinning buffet and for New Years eve, the hotel made a big effort to make the guest feeling comfortable with good food, dancing and competitions.”

“Vi ankom sent pga trafikk. Hotellet sendte oss underveis en WhatsApp melding og lurte på når vi ankom. Flott gest. Fine rom, veldig god og personlig service. God beliggenhet på flott strand, rolig område. God restaurant med hyggelig betjening. Veldig trivelig at eier (Andrea) kom over for å hilse på oss. Vi hadde behov for transport til Unawatuna etter vårt opphold, det ordnet hotellet på kort varsel. Tusen takk og mange anbefalinger fra oss👍”

“Great property right on the beach , in comparison the prices in the hotel / restaurant are higher ( which is to be expected) . Staff was lovely , the hotel could do with some small updates / upgrades. Location is very good, under 10 mins to walk into town. Great place if you are looking for something that not in overcrowded part of Sri Lanka ”

“Place is OK. It was nice to be right on the beach! What they do not tell you on Expedia is that these guys sure love hidden fees … There is a 5$ US charge if you come back in after midnight (was not my situation but what ?!?) and wifi is 2US a day. ”

“Very friendly family service. Great location for beach - 2-3 min walk. Lots of great restaurants around, especially on beach. Next to road, so easy to get tuktuk. Comprehensive convenience shop 4 min walk. Lovely pool with outdoor shower. A/C kept room at nice temperature, with ceiling fan. Family room had two double beds and we had a cot, so family of five well-suited. Room cleaned every 3 days. Malee cooked us lovely hoppers, dal and sambal for breakfast, whilst the children loved fresh……

“Overall stay was good. However, the bathrooms are visible inside the room. Not recommended for a family to stay inside the room. I kindly suggest to put up curtains or a blurred glass to have privacy. Also, the balconies are connected to each room with a sliding door which is kind of unnecessary i feel. If it can be locked then it's manageable. But in our case the sliding doors could not be locked. The breakfast was superb. Had plenty of varieties. For lunch we had nasi goreng and it was……

“Contro: 20 minuti di cammino in salita per arrivare giù in paese o in spiaggia tutti di strada dissestata e non illuminata, con tuk tuk costo 500, 1000 lr. Contro: gestito da due ragazzi di 18 e 20 anni che NON parlano inglese. Contro: camera tripla vuol dire letto matrimoniale king size da 180cm e non 3 letti Contro: pulizia della camera solo su richiesta al 4 gg l abbiamo sollecitata come il cambio di asciugamani. Contro: non danno teli da spiaggia contro: acqua tiepidina Pro: costo economico……

“The house was beautiful with wonderful sea views and very well kept and homely. Quality room. Location was mixed as very close to the blowhole attraction, one small Beach with coral and over longer bay with quiet waves; however it's a long way from a supermarket, bus stop or restaurant and up some rocky steps uphill which was difficult for my partner who was using crutches. We enjoyed the food cooked by our host who was lovely but did not speak great English, and so there was confusion over……
