“The place is very nice and clean, however we felt a little bit scammed for the price of the food which is over European standard. They only have one choice and asked 20$ for it and you really don’t have other options in the area. They let you pay also the water…the road to come is very bad also. I’d not stay again”

“What a charming hostess was Joan & her entire staff. Daniels cooking was superb & under not the easiest of conditions.We felt very close to nature here.Having booked through Expedia we had no tour operators & so did all our liaison with the lodge re transfer from Kisoro air strip & back, Gorilla permits, village tours etc. Joan we will never forget you & your beautiful family.My wife cried with emotion when she saw the Gorillas. “Absolutely amazing stay at embogo lodges! Everything about this place is 10/10. It’s an underpriced gem in ishasha. It’s safe, the staff are all amazing and the food is outstanding. They also arranged us a game drive on the morning for a great price where we seen tree lions and elephants to name a few!”
