“What an amazing hostel! Perfect location and lovely building, The panelled lounge full of lovely leather sofas, books and a roaring fire was particularly fine. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the beer was good and the full english veggie breakfast the ideal precursor to some stiff walking. ”

“The rooms are located on the floor above the public bar and eating areas. You can book an evening meal if required. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable with no disturbance. Nice breakfast served by friendly staff.”

“This is a lovely hotel, with charm and character. Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were cozy, clean and warm, which was great as it was freezing outside! The bathroom also clean and in good condition - the shower was great! The location was also better than we thought - we were able to get to other lakes and towns, a shopping outlet and even the coast within 30-60min drive. The only 'quirk' with this hotel was that at each breakfast, we got a different portion size, despite ordering……

“Everything I expected”

“On arrival was concerned as there was wedding taking place at the hotel, lots of people. We were greeted by Rose on reception who was friendly and informative. We stayed in room 111 which had a wonderful view of the sea and st bees head, I found this to be very impressive, the room was comfortable with heating and tea making facilities. Our room was quiet and we didn't get disturbed by the wedding. We enjoyed the closeness of the beach and walked up at bees head which is a must if you stay……
