“Very comfy stay, excellent and friendly service by staff, the breakfast is amazing. Bathroom is clean and with huge bath tub. It is truly a gem in Windermere. Highly recommended!”

“Lovely B&B in a great location. 10 mins walk in either direction to shops, cafes and restaurants. The lake is just a few minutes more in the one direction. Car parking available. Lovely rooms. Very clean. Most comfortable nights sleep I've had in a very long time. (I'd love to know where the mattress and pillows are from so I can purchase for home) I arrived several hours early prior to check in and was allowed to leave my car whilst I went out for the afternoon. “A pleasant hotel but not really "luxury" as they claim. No air conditioning, just a small, noisy desk fan. Probably not an issue most of the year, to be fair, as it was unseasonably hot this week. Double bed with a poor mattress that transferred all movement of one partner to the other. Tap in the wash basin too close to the basin; I've seen this repeatedly in hotel rooms and, to be fair, some home, and I'll never understand how the proprietors and their plumber can't figure out what size……

“Beautiful scenic location. Hotel condition and all furnishing as new. Room extremely comfortable. Staff impeccable, not to be faulted. Food superb. Bar prices high. Lounge a bit bright…. Need table lamps rather than ceiling lights to give better ambience. Overall excellent.”

“The location is great and nearby the ferry pier. But the hotel is not in good maintenance at room, the toilet ceiling have a lot of dirty water marks, it looked disgusting. I booked a lakeview room that cost £250 a night, but not worth it, the room is really dilapidated, even they don't have a refrigerator at room, I needed to keep my birthday cake in their restaurant. The room price wss including the breakfast but it was lack of choice, they serve breakfast until 10:30 am, when I ordered……
