“Great location. Easy walk into the heart of Ali'i Dr. shops and restaurants. Nice room, had everything we needed. Elevator wasn't working, didn't bother us as we were on a lower floor, but those above us didn't have it so easy. We were told the "parts were on order". Hot tub by pool also wasn't working, were going to call in someone to "look at it". Pool was perfect. Would definitely return. Beautiful scenery. ”

“We had a very enjoyable week here. There was plenty of space for our crew of 12 (ages 10 months to 73). We would definitely rent again.”

“We did not stay as planned. My wife had an emergency appendectomy on Friday afternoon and we did not make it to Kona. The owner had contacted me earlier with instructions and i replied to him that we had to cancel due to the medical emergency. I am waiting to see if i will get a refund from the owner as the cancellation was not in accordance to the cancellation guidelines. ”

“The Promise Tree provided wonderful space for our family to spend time together while giving everyone their own space. The property has the feel of a lived in family home with all of the extras (beach chairs and umbrellas, coolers, water and yard toys, indoor and outdoor dishes) that you don’t often find at a VRBO. The onsite pool and ripe papayas were a huge hit with the kids. The location was perfect for heading down to the beaches and shopping or up to a little town and coffee farms. Be sure……

“The house was absolutely amazing. All ten of us had plenty of space. The view was stunning. The only thing I can say that was misleading was the references to proximity to locations in Kailua- Kona in the listing. It turns out we much preferred it’s true location up the hill away from the bustle of town. It was so beautiful. I am glad it was not a short walk to Taco Bell as stated in the listing.”

“Room was clean. View was beautiful. Location is good. Getting to the actual room was a little tricky. Go to the lower garage and go to through the back door. Down 4 steps. That’s the easiest way in. Our room was very cool which is important to us for sleeping. Lighting was great. The host was responsive. The only thing we noted was the washer had a very musty smell and shows some rust. Still works but some people might be sensitive to that. Overall I would absolutely stay here again. Walking……
