"A great little older beach motel. Easy walk to the beach near the back of the property and restaurants within walking distance too. The village is small and mostly residential, yet there is a Food Lion and several restaurants and shops within a mile or so."

"We had a blast! The Lazy River was the most talked about and used amenity. Even though it was colder than what we planned we loved it at Rio Rodanthe. No reason to go anywhere else. We all had a fanastic time."

"I stayed in the Luxury Suite with private access to wellness deck, which I used! The suite was very high end, relaxing, and I had everything I needed. The internet was out (part of island life I suppose), and the contacts were communicative and available. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

Great Place to Stay!
"This was the first time we stayed in Avon versus Duck or Corolla. We will never go back north! Avon was great! The home is a quick 7 minute walk to the Avon Pier and beach. There are restaurants and shops in walking distance of the house. There is even a farmer's market during the summer on Tuesdays ..."

"Our stay was perfect! Communication was beyond expectations before arrival and during stay. We enjoyed a very clean property upon arrival. We enjoyed fishing the Rodanthe pier, relaxing on the beach and amazing food at Great Winds Restaurant . We give this property two thumbs up!"
