“Great location to walk to everything”

“My mom and I spent the weekend here and absolutely loved our stay. We were in the area to hike and eat some yummy local foods. This place was perfect for a quiet getaway where we were able to relax, go hiking, watch movies and go out to some local brewery and pubs. It had all the amenities needed, even some yoga mats to stretch after hiking all morning. Perfect for A quiet hiking getaway ”

“Overall this day was really well. House was old and outdated. Had only one TV in the entire house where there could have been four or five TVs. There was only one and it was a small TV in the front room that was on a swivel. One electrical plug did not work and the plug for the bathtub did not work. The beds were old and stiff and springy and only full size beds. It would have been nice to have at least a queen or a king for my wife and I otherwise not a bad place. Had a full size basement.……

“This was the ideal stay for three old(ish) friends who love to hike, eat good food, and sit around and retell the lore of yesteryear. The house was perfect. Everything we needed was available. The neighborhood is quiet. The location is convenient: every place we needed to travel to was less than 20 minutes away. To be specific, our goal was to visit Starved Rock State Park [10 miles of hiking while there], visit Matthiessen State Park [10 miles of hiking while there], and we were able to get in……

“Close to downtown Ottawa which made it very convenient for our weekend activities. The home is located next to a railroad track; there were a handful of trains that passed through while we were there but nothing too disruptive. Plenty of room in the apartment.”

“Everything was as advertised. We did have some minor issues with the heating unit but we figured it out eventually. Also, the dishwasher did not work but we only needed it at the end of our stay. I'm sure it'll get fixed.”

“Clean, quiet and perfect for our needs while we were in town for a family reunion. We particularly enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and sun porch. Directions on where to park and how to get in were very clear. Host was responsive to messages. ”
