“This cabin was far enough from the others. Very remote. The lodge/ restaurant was great. Super nice and patient folks. The cabin supplied all the things you’d need to cook. And very clean. A little confusing about check out as far as what to do with towels and linens. But I give it 5 stars and go again. Thank you for the experience.”

“My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Mayfield Gardens cabin and loved every minute. The cabin was spotless and was well stocked with everything I could possibly need. I especially loved the peaceful setting, so very quiet and peaceful. We’ll be back.”

“If ever I were to own a cabin, it would be of the design of this one. Rustic feel with solid and complete foundational amenities. Greats: cathedral ceiling/loft/windows, large porch, bbq, wood stove, no TV, solid internet, great shower and bathroom, firm and comfortable mattresses. Nit-picky cons: jacuzzi isn't really a traditional hot tub, 30 min drive to/from Ashland on a very winding (yet picturesque) road, check-out time of 10am with $35 fee to extend to noon. Really enjoyed our stay, will……

“This place exceeded expectations. Very clean, well maintained, and well built cabin with a loft and jacuzzi tub. The restaurant was closed, but the Hyatt was 8 minutes away, and was told by the helpful person there that the restaurant will open again soon. Will definitely look to book another say during winter.”

“We enjoyed a lovely night at the Mountain Retreat. Our hosts were very accommodating and great at communicating. The space is generously appointed with comfortable chairs, beds, and a fully stocked kitchen. When we came back from dinner there was a buck standing on the porch! You are truly in the mountains and we really enjoyed the quiet evening. We also appreciated the generous second bedroom for our son who was happy with a break from the parents! Beautiful location and lovely accommodations.……

“The property was cheerful and comfortable in a lovely setting. There is a helpful welcome book and all the cabinets are labelled.The only low note is that I got lost getting there. If you start in the middle of town, Main St. splits at one point. The right side takes you where you want to go. The left leads you to California.”
