“Beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Close enough to Alpena that you can experience some of what a city has to offer, far enough away that you have peace and quiet. The kayaks got put to use on the river and everything that we could need had been thought of. Plenty of dishes to use. Plenty of chairs to sit by the fire. Plenty of firewood to burn. Check-in was stress-free. We met the host for a quick tour and they were available via text if we had any need. Cell reception in the area was spotty,……

“We had a great time at the lake cottage. Everything was as listed and in good condition. We were looking for a quiet place on a lake and that is exactly what we got. We really loved the added bonus of the little boat and trolling motor. We were able to get around the entire lake on a single battery charge. We made sure to bring a paddle just in case. “Owner was very personable and helpful. The cabin is vintage without a lot of modern upgrades, but that is what makes it charming. Kind of like stepping into a 1940's lakeside resort. It had all of the proper necessities, fridge, microwave, stove, kitchen wares, etc. It was clean and comfortable. Cable tv worked fine. They supplied some wood for a campfire which was nice and each cabin has their own firepit. The lake is beautiful and we could launch our kayaks from the edge beyond the seawall,……

“One of the best properties we have stayed in! Property is secluded,quiet, great fishing, and so beautiful. Trails were fun to walk daily. The outdoor space is perfect! The deck is great for sitting and watching over the water for all the birds, and wildlife. The firepit area was shadded and perfectly nessled under a canopy of trees that served as a rain shield for the 2 days it rained a little.
