“Our stay was good clean and comfortable. We would probably come back and stay at Blue Star. The price was reasonable I think because you’ll responsible to throw out garbage and put all the linens in a bag before leaving, but I’m still waiting for my $100 security deposit. “I picked a room to look over the harbor (you don't get a quaint view like that in most places) so I was pleased with the view. I also liked the nicely stocked little kitchenette since my husband was on a medical diet which required me to bring his food and make it in our room. This was our first time to South Haven and look forward to returning in the summer to enjoy some of the bars and restaurants. Great location to walk everwhere and closest beach, South Beach.”

“This is definitely a work in progress. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was quiet for the most part and the staff was very friendly. It's clear a family has taken on the job of restoring this property to a new, beautiful standard. I was pleased with the location, the price and our room. The elevator is a little scary at the moment, but I'm sure it will be fixed. I look forward to seeing it fully restored.”

“Perfect hotel for me, my partner, and dog! Other hotels and airbnbs in the area were extra expensive and/or not pet-friendly due to LDW, and we didn’t want to spend $1,000+ for just a 3-night stay. If you’re looking for a hotel that’s affordable, perfectly located, has a lot of outdoor activities, very dog friendly, and a midwest/vintage charm, Sun & Sand is a great choice. While the rooms are a bit outdated, they were clean and well-kept. The bathroom was especially clean. Some of these reviews……
