“Great location and my room had an ocean/beach view. ”

“The room was basic and in fair condition but what made this a very nice stay was the friendliness and welcome I received when arriving. They even kept the kitchen open a few more minutes for me as I arrived just the dining was finishing. The meal was superb and they have a good selection of wines. The hotel site was conveniently located and reasonably well maintained. This is a recommended stay. ”

“Had a lovely short stay at Auberge Basque. We took a garden room which was very cute and well decorated. The only downside was it was next to the carpark and road which was noisy and you could only have natural air by opening the back doors - We didn't want to use the air con so at night the room was a bit hot. The 6 course tasting menu was fantastic with some very interesting flavour mixes!”

“Tolles Hotel 7 km von Biarritz entfernt. Frühstück sehr gut und auch die komplette Anlage hat uns gut gefallen. Zwei Kritikpunkte: zu wenig Liegen am Pool wenn Hotel komplett gebucht ist. Außerdem ist Bad indem Superior Zimmern sehr klein und die Tür zum Bad ist nicht gut angebracht, da sich keine zweite Person im Bad aufhalten kann. Besser wäre eine Schiebetür oder im Notfall gar keine Tür”

“Magnifique hôtel avec un personnel à l’écoute disponible, très gentil et très bien situé seul petit reproche, c’est que la chambre n’était pas climatisée et le ventilateur fait quand même un peu de bruit et vu les chaleurs actuelles malheureusement pas très bien dormi !!”

“La Frégate feels like a weathered beach lodge. It is clean and comfortable and the ocean view (and constant sound of the waves) is everything! The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice (for an additional €13) and the reception area features a full bar, where you can conveniently order a café or cocktail. The local buses go into Bayonne, Biarritz, Guethary or Saint Jean de Luz. Bedding and bathroom were comfortable. I wish the balcony windows had screens, as small flies appeared on……
