“We had the best time at this adorable, rustic cabin with our family (5 adults, baby, dog). We loved being right on the water, the beautiful porch, best views of the lake, jumping off the dock to cool off and using the kayaks. The kitchen was well stocked, we BBQd every night. The sauna was a lovely surprise as I didn’t even realize they had one!Some small things could be improved on…the outdoor area needs some cleaning attention (lots of cobwebs, beach area cleanup etc). And the dock could……

“Amazing...a 3 star that is 5 star for nature lovers! Log cabins with kitchen and comfortable beds, real fire places with ample free dry wood topped up daily, view of the lake. 2 hot tubs and sauna, free access to plenty of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards any time you want, small but good size quiet lake with fish to catch, multiple docks with chairs and other access to swim. Eagles, deer etc all around. Suoer attentive and friendly staff on site. Office has tons of games and puzzles to use.……

“This was exactly what we needed after a week of camping on our road trip - this place is so lovely, from the cabin itself (inside and out), to the big trees surrounding it, the pathway through the forest, the delicious breakfast and coffee, and of course the most relaxing bath/shower outside. Tara was so welcoming and was helpful highlighting spots around the island. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again soon! ”

“Very clean property with a comfortable bed. Close to dining and grocery store. Tide was in during our stay so we did not go down to the beach. The water is not suitable for swimming as there is a thick sludge matter on the ocean in the area.”

“Spectacular property. Perfectly appointed, super comfortable bed with quality linens, strong wifi, would great for someone needing a temporary work spot for a biz trip. Lovely back garden, spotlessly clean and the owners communicated very quickly. Would definitely recommend and come back.”

“Lovely property, we enjoyed our stay!”

“The room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the host was quite friendly. The ensuite washroom is small but adequate. The home is about 6 years old and in excellent condition. There is a limited number of accommodations on Gabriola Island and we were happy. We chose this one. There was an outdoor hot tub available however we didn’t use it. We would stay here again should we visit the island in the future ”

“Beautiful home and setting. Immaculate throughout, spacious bedrooms with king beds that are so comfortable, and the house has everything you could need or want. The pool was super clean and spending time out around the pool and deck area was the highlight of the stay. Absolutely recommend for friends or family who are looking for a beautiful quiet lovely place to stay. Five stars!”

“Overall, the house was better than in the pictures. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a 5 night stay. The private beach at the edge of the lake was beautiful, but what we didn’t anticipate was the 2 minute walk to the lake park with a dock, slide into the water, and diving board. Spent many days there were all kids and adults had a blast. 10 minute drive from lake cowichan town center made it easy to get groceries and got tubing down the river. ”

“The location is perfect with amazing views and the host was quick to answer any questions we had would definitely rent this property again and refer anybody looking for a place in Ladysmith too”
