“The hotel had very little to no amenities. They had filtered water in the community kitchen. The room had a refrigerator and cable tv. The bed was comfortable. It's in walking distance to the ferry for caye caulker and San Pedro. They had a community refrigerator and microwave in kitchen. Staff were nice and helpful. Limited places that offer delivery for food. ”

“My husband and I walked from the water taxi to the Great House Inn - hot but less than 8 minutes (with our luggage), so appreciated the location. Reception was on 2nd floor, but as soon as we got there, an attendant took all our luggage up. Receptionist was awesome and SUPER helpful. Room was very spacious and clean -quaint We used the pool and upper deck facilities. We ordered take-out from the upper deck, and WIFI was spotty, so receptionist came and got us when it was ready. “I enjoyed my stay at this hotel so much. It’s small, meaning it’s quiet and not crowded with people but has a great pool area and gym like a bigger hotel. The room was new and modern with lots of great features. Location was great, very close to the municipal airport and short drives to water taxis. An area with bars and restaurants was just a short walk away. What really makes this hotel stand out is the people. Ahead of time Laura and Julia were very helpful messaging about what to expect……

“Fort George Hotel and Spa was such a nice place to end our trip before heading home. The hotel is new and modern, we stayed in the oceanfront room, which only just opened last month, and everything was clean, spacious, and it was quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a bite and drink at the bar in the restaurant, the food was delicious and we were offered complimentary bread and a ceviche shooter which was a nice surprise. We also had a couples massage which we booked last minute……

The area felt safe and everything to see (muesuem, cathedral, water taxi, restaurants) were all within a good walking distance. Locals were friendly and open to chat. We saw food vendors by the bridge in the evening, but didn't stay out too late to see more. The staff are v friendly and helpful.
