“Gabriele is a rare gem ! Location is everything and using Gilbert Ferret or via Cavour you reach the harbour two ways or all the restaurants and along the bastioni, we were prepared for the steep stairs going up to the property from previous reviews, the roof top view is worth it !! Breakfast is more than enough made by the lovely Cristina it will keep you energised for day be it cold meat , boiled egg or a Cornetto pastry with delicious fruit and yogurt. The wonderful thing is the problem……

“Wonderful, small boutique hotel in the heart of the old city. A tentative host. Great food and activities recommendations provided in a partner request. Our room faced the street so we needed to close both double sets of windows and use the air-conditioning. I prefer fresh air, but don’t like the noise!”

“Lovely property in centre and probably best location. No noise (window closed) outside everything you want from restaurants, shops and historical centre. “Great hotel right in the centre of the old town. The staff were warm and welcoming. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast offered a great choice of food and fruit. “The location of this hotel was perfect; it was literally in the middle of Alghero. Just a few minutes walk from all of the restaurants and stores. I was used to having bidets but I understand why they probably didn’t have one; there’s just not enough room. I didn’t have a lot of stuff so the climb up the steps wasn’t a big deal. Front staff was kind enough to hold my bags and move them in the room when I can a little early. They are true to their word about texting me once the room was……

“Die Unterkunft hat die perfekte Lage. Alle Geschäfte sind in der Umgebung, Parkplätze sind in der Regel gut zu finden, auch direkt in der Nähe, wenn auch kostenpflichtig. In wenigen Minuten zu Fuß ans Meer oder in die Altstadt. Wer Wert auf ein gutes Frühstück legt, wird hier allerdings enttäuscht. Frühstück gibt es im Bistro, man kann sich pro Person drei Sachen wählen, dann ist Schluss. Was man wählen kann, wird einem nicht verraten. Es gibt auch keine Karte. “I was staying for one night at the hotel in a standard double room. The hotel is a larger one and may not be the most appealing hotel from the outside. But the foyer is tidy and clean. The hotel has a bar and a elevator. The room and the bathroom was quite large and the room had a balconey. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is very close to the harbour and the city center. I have nothing to complain and can recommend the hotel.”

“Elisabetta was a wonderful hostess. She was very helpful in suggestions for places to see in the area. Breakfast was a great variety of items, including a few Sardinian things that I had never had, and the coffee was delicious.
