“Stunning location with great amenities. The hot tub was amazing—we greatly enjoyed using it multiple times. We utilized the kitchen the whole week we were there, and it had everything we needed. We loved the stereo system. The property location would be dark enough to see the northern lights—but we were unlucky with the weather with cloud coverage while we were there. We may have to return to try again.”

“This is a comfortable, well designed house in a good location. Folks who want to see a variety of remarkable geological sites and thermal hot springs can find them within a 1.5 hour drive from this location. We had a peaceful panoramic view of Akureyri, the river, and surrounding mountains from the huge windows across the front of the house. The house was perfectly cleaned and provided all the amenities needed for cooking and relaxing. The four of us cooked lots of delicious meals, listened……

“This was the old schoolhouse in town. The new school facilities are right next to it. The school seems to be a center for the towns activities… I enjoyed seeing the kids and observing a different culture. You are within walking distance to town and restaurants. I recommend Saltka. We had the second floor unit. Very spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. Also nice to use the complimentary washer and dryer. ”
