“This property is routed in the 1950's, unfortunately for the owner things have moved on since then. The property needs modernising to bring it up to modern-day standards. In the short term items which could be addressed are - 1) The wifi is none existant which is a shame as it would have been useful for planning days out. 2) The TV seems to have half the Freeview channels missing. 3) A shower would be much more preferable for a holiday cottage. 4) A large door mat in the conservatory would be……

“Great location. Parking space on car park to the rear. Spotlessly clean. William the receptionist / caretaker was excellent. Has everything you need. However, it sells itself as a luxury apartment and it doesn’t live up to it. Eg. In the bedroom there is only one bedside table and lamp. On one corner of the bed there is only six inches in which to get past. The wardrobe is not great quality and the sliding door comes of it’s rail easily. ( can also be put back easily but.. ) in the living……

“We had a lovely stay. It’s a lovely set up and we thought it was perfect. No noise except the sheep in the field so very peaceful. Everything you could want is provided. Warm and comfortable. ”

“Wonderful in-city location, walkable to shops, pubs, electric train, and other transport. Home was well appointed, fantastic ‘user notebook’ informative for all features of the home. Parking was tight but managers gave easy alternatives. Highly recommend for a stay.”

“The property has picture windows overlooking the bay - stunning views. The house was clean overall, comfortable and well equipped. Although there is a lack of shaver point which I use to charge my electric toothbrush. I had to buy a manual toothbrush. The rugs in hall, lounge and kitchen are unnecessary as the floors are tiled/parky flooring. These rugs could do with a clean as could the settees. Apart from that it was an enjoyable stay with easy parking at the bottom of the hill and a good 10……

“Ballaloaghtan is perfectly located 30 mins from Douglas but within easy reach of a village shop..5 mins, a fine dining restaurant….10 mins and beautiful walks from the barn. We had a mix of weather but we did get to enjoy a walk up to South Barrule, a cycle ride around some of the TT circuit and a visit to Laxey on the Electric railway. It was always a pleasure returning to the house where we could cook, eat and relax together after our busy days. We will be returning 🙂”
