The cottage is at the base of Lake Pauline, directly across from a busy road. The road noise was noticeable, and it was winter with windows closed. It was not a secluded cabin in the woods.Check in: the code did not work. When we contacted Vacasa, we were told that they could reset the door code remotely. “This 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom townhome in Quechee, VT is just as advertised in the listing. The property was clean, the kitchen was fully stocked with whatever you would need to make coffee or cook a gourmet meal. Seriously the kitchen is better stocked with appliances and such than my home. The beds were comfortable and the linens were high quality.”

The views of Lake Rescue were beautiful. The driveway was snow-covered, but with a 4WD, you should have no issue. The 'commute' to Okemo was easy - 8min max. The house seems to have been empty, so a musty smell permeated the home for the first day until the air circulated a few times. Not a big deal. The gas……
