“It was lovely. we stayed in the Braid Lodge. It was clean, well decorated and warm. The only criticism would be the state of the TV remote control which was filthy.”

“Staff lovely, food great dinner and breakfast, well decorated and comfortable, very dog friendly. Only negative comment was tv bracket placement in room-hardly faced bed😂but we managed!! Room 217. View from room was good across rooftops and fields”

“A nice stay but a few things could’ve been improved. Food was lovely and staff were friendly. However they just don’t have enough staff so the service was really slow. The room wasn’t great for the money we paid either. It was overlooked a bit and next to the kitchen so outside was a bit scruffy. The toilet was broken too and my husband had to fix it. Parking was a bit of an issue too. When we arrived we couldn’t even get a space on the same road. Lovely location though as walkable……

“Stayed here for a 2 night break. Friendly welcome and a lovely room (The Hayloft). Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and cereal to start and a nice home cooked breakfast. Great touch with having a toaster on the table to toast the delicious bread and enjoy the marmalade. Breakfast was efficient with no waiting. Liz and John have a delightful place for a stay.”

“We arrived early but checking in was no problem. Very nice people. Food was nice too. Unfortunately we weren't too hungry so didn't get to sample the wonderful breakfast we read about. But the poached eggs were perfect. We stayed in a cabin which had everything you need for a short stay. It was warm and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I would say is the basin in the shower room was so small and awkward to use when brushing your teeth. A small niggle. Shower was fine, and very large. ”
