“This place worked well for us (family of 4) staying to visit with family in the area. It was very close to lots of restaurants and whatnot. The area was a little sketchy- it was by all really run down houses/apartments. However I never didn’t feel safe. The king bed was comfy but the twin beds were not. “Really beautiful space. Set up well for 1-2 with a basic kitchenette (wouldn’t be surprised if this gets upgraded- the rest is VERY modern). Modern/effective dehumidifier - super necessary for the dampness of the area at times. The neighborhood is precious and safe. The BEST part is the beautiful shower space to wash off your local hike, bike, adventure. You’re close to EVERYTHING and never feel like you’re “in the city”. “The house is a charming older bungalow. It was furnished with everything we needed. Please note that it is on a fairly busy street that necessitated wearing ear plugs, especially in the front bedroom. Also, there is a faint cat pee smell in some of the house and strong smell in the bathroom. ”

Four bedrooms and 2 full baths was plenty for our group of 6. ”

“Just what we wanted: a spacious amount of room for 4 people, an unusual location while still convenient to Portland, and a responsive host. It's more "house" than "boat," but it's located on a pretty little stretch of water with a small current. We loved watching the geese family, heron and beaver across the way. We weren't expecting train tracks to be so close, or the trains so plentiful, but it soon added to the charm of the place. Access is easy, with one reserved parking spot. Others living……

“The Irvington ‘apartment’ is amazing! Tons of character in the historic home, it really is a home, people! The neighborhood is a glorious collection of historic homes with different character, jaw dropping gardens, and a surprise bonus with the delightful local coffee shop just half a block north. The property was quiet, peaceful and exactly what we were looking for to unwind after some training we were participating in. ”
