“We had all of the amenities necessary to make this such a homie stay. Everything was included, the neighborhood was adorable and had easy access to main roads and restaurants. Quiet area. The only thing that we would change is a little more attention to detail with cleaning. There seemed to be random items left behind in each room. Otherwise, this host was amazing!”

“My husband and I have been at several rental properties and this one is one at the top of our list. Everything was so clean and as described on the listing. I did however miss the fact that there was no television but I had my iPad and speaker so we were able to stream some shows in the evening. Everyone we spoke with was very pleasant and helpful. It was also such a huge plus that we could bring our X-large dogs as it can be hard to find places that will accept them. We will definitely be……

“We had a wonderful time at this historic house. Mount Gretna is such a welcoming community and having the tall trees surrounding this cozy home is a one-of-a-kind experience. The rental needs some rennovations, but that's to be expected for a home this old. Also, the space is much smaller than it looked in the listing photos. We would love to visit again during the summer months!”

“I've lost count of how many times we've stayed at Mt. Culmen....maybe 7? 8? Needless to say, we keep going back. Twice a year we've made this our sanctuary to connect and rest. “What a beautiful place! Our family stayed here for the weekend but could have spent the rest of our lives here! A great place to spend quality time with the people who matter the most, to unplug unwind and relax, no traffic, light pollution or loud noises, just the birds in daytime and stars at night, very clean well kept home and a beautiful property. “The owners of the property carefully thought through all the amenities provided. We had what we needed for a very comfortable stay. We didn't think we needed an old school arcade until we had one! Place was wonderfully decorated, felt very welcoming. Communication with owners was easy. Only thing I didn't quite anticipate was the high deposit and how long VRBO holds the deposit before refunding back (14 days). Other than that, we hope to return when we're back in the area.”

“My wife has been dying to sleep in the shoe for 30 years. She nearly died when she discovered her birthday surprise of a weekend in the shoe house. We had so much fun doing shoe themed activities and eating foot/shoe themed things. I think it's so much fun to be able to say we slept in a shoe. We had an absolute blast!”

“We had a great stay! The cottage was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway that was dog friendly. It was clean and the hot tub and firepit were great amenities. Only thing was that the backyard was not completely fenced for the dog, but she still loved it. We would definitely stay here again. ”

“This was our 4th time staying in the Bird House and we had another enjoyable time. We love the country location it makes us feel like home. This time we enjoyed the York Herb and Garden Festival on Friday and spent a lot of time visiting the Amish Greenhouses. We cook most of our meals to spend time with our dogs but we did order take our from Caruso's Italian Restaurant and it was great and only 5 minutes away so still very hot when we arrived back to the house. We would highly recommend it and……

“What a lovely home. I stayed here with my mother-in-law who was 91 and my husband. We would be happy to return to this lovely home which was so well supplied. There were were more towels than we could possibly used, extra pillows, wonderful kitchen supplies and loads of snacks and breakfast provided. Everything was clean and and just lovely.”
