“We came to Saranac Lake to check out the Adirondacks. It is a beautiful area. The Cabin is great for kicking back and soaking in the surroundings. We brought a boat with fishing in mind. Not such a good idea. Oh! the cabin advertisement indicated that it was "Blue" . Well, that's only half true. Like I said, we brought a boat so we could leave from the Cabin and fish. But, if one arrives at the cabin by water, it is brown, not blue. It rains on us for 3 days, but we still hadfun.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bear Cabin with a beautiful view of Lake Colby. The cabin was decorated very nicely with lots of bear motif. Having access to a variety of boats (canoes, kayaks and row boats) was much appreciated. The Adirondack chairs outside were perfect for watching the sunset. The walls in the bedrooms do not go all the way to the ceiling, and thus the lighting from the living room and kitchen area can be a bit distracting for those people who like to sleep in or go to……

“We were very happy with our stay! The property/home is exactly as described...beautiful. It was clean and very well appointed. The yard was nicely nestled in a large treed yard. The view from the hot tub was fantastic! Our hosts ver very communicative and friendly.The only criticism I can offer is that there was no clear direction with regard to recycling. We ended up throwing out our recyclable garbage and then found our later that it could have been put separately for pick-up. This was……

“This was our first visit to Wilmington NY. The house and the location are wonderful. A very peaceful environment and the house is comfortable and nicely appointed. The location on Quaker Mtn Rd is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy quiet. Lots of good hiking trails around the area and getting to Lake Placid is easy and "just down the road". The hosts are attentive to their guests and are willing to answer any questions you may have. A great place for couples or family! All the best, Paul &……

“We will definitely be back. It was the perfect location for our trip, close to things but not a terribly far drive to other nearby towns. It was great for us and our two dogs. Very spacious and private. One of the cleanest houses I’ve ever rented and full of thoughtful touches from hand cream in the bathroom to maple syrup and bug nets bug spray and flashlights. Hoping it’s still available for renting in future trips because we’ve fallen in love with the area and our next trips will be this……

“What a perfect little house to celebrate our 52 Anniversary and our birthdays! Squeaky clean, beautiful bed linens, everything you could possibly want or need ! Also a great location in the mountains but close to everything. We will be back ! ”

“Very pleased with our stay. House was clean, quite, and private -- just what we want when coming to the ADKs.Only 1 thing to note: the house was a bit dusty in spots, and the water took about 30 minutes to turn over. I suspect the house had been empty for a while, but not likely an issue during busier times of year.Would happily stay here again.”

“The house was just the right size for our family - 6 adults and 1 child (aged 8). The property is very remote but if you plan your meals well, it works out just fine. Most of our time was spent on the upper deck lounging, in the water, or relaxing in the living /dining area with dinner in the garden. The hosts were very responsive and generous with answers to questions. A perfect week-long getaway. If there is any complaint it is that the mattresses in the upstairs bedrooms were too soft.”
