“This house was perfect for a quick weekend! There is a small beach by the lake that’s nice for a walk/morning coffee. It’s not a touristy area at all so it’s quiet and peaceful. I would say if you’re looking to be isolated it’s not necessarily for you, as it is in a community of houses, but if that doesn’t bother you it’s definitely still a great location! “We had a lovely time staying Christine and Shawn’s home. The amenities within the community are great. Hawley is a 15 minute drive away and has a great small town feel with loads of antique shops. There are some good hikes near by and the lake is beautiful. We had trouble trying to fit everything into one weekend. “I was extremely pleased when we got to the property and saw how wonderful it was. Everything was pristine and clean. I was shocked at all the amenities in the kitchen, including griddles extra coffee pots utensils pans everything you really need, down to the strainers. This was a really wonderful stay. “Pros: The pool was excellent, well kept and clean. Silvio was responsive to any issues that came up along the way. The location is nice and quiet. Cons: Most of the furniture was stained, broken and decrepit. The lighting was sallow and yellow. The kitchen cabinets had a smell and the remote was so sticky we put it in a ziploc to use it. We would return if the house was updated and freshened up to promote a clean and inviting feel.”
