Monte Nido Retreat near Pepperdine/Malibu/Calabasas

Monte Nido is nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains between Calabasas and Malibu, 5 minutes away from Pepperdine University in Malibu. You can walk to the Backbone trail head from our yard. The guest house has a private entrance, full kitchen, bath and french doors that open up to a private patio with a fountain. There is also a private deck for star gazing and afternoon naps. Perfect for hiking, biking, surfing, and relaxation. There are no streetlights or sidewalks. It is truly paradise.

My wife and I decided to stay here for our nearby wedding and it was the perfect place. Exactly as pictured and the checkin was so easy and the hosts were extremely nice and communicative! We had a lovely peaceful place to enjoy in between the big moments and the bed was so comfortable. The views are amazing and the little details in the cottage between the drinks, appliances, and light switches were above and beyond. Thanks for having us! We recommend to anyone looking for a place off the path that’s still modern and highly functional and you’ll be well taken care of here!
