“We could not have asked for a better place, very comfortable, spacious, a very welcoming host (even invited us to dinner at his son’s restaurant), but the best part was an amazing property. If you love old farm houses this as good as it gets!We did the Driftless 100 in Elkader and stayed 2 nights maximizing everything from the modern kitchen to the comfy living room & beds to a perfectly placed fire pit to watch the sunset and sip bourbon after the race. ”

“This unique place has it all: charm, class, comfort, beauty, and fun. When you first walk in, you are greeted with a gorgeous staircase leading to most of the rooms. Our room was spacious, with a luxurious bathroom. The gourmet kitchen is equipped for anything and everything with seating for eight. The adjoining dining room has a large table with additional seating and windows lining two walls. And clean! This VRBO was impressively clean! The large kitchen and family space on the first floor provide plenty of space for everyone to get together and relax. “This was the perfect little house for me and my partner to stay at while we fished the driftless area. The tiny is house is adorable and functional. It was clean and had way more amenities than expected - tons of towels, bedding, extra toilet paper, fully stocked kitchen utensils. There is a ton of storage. We didn't use the hot tub but it's private and has a nice view of the river. It was easy to go down the road and buy firewood for fires each night. Hot water on demand and good wifi……
