“We had two teens, their parents, a set of grandparents, and 2 dogs. The house was versitile enough that we could find great sleeping arrangements and a variety of things to do for fun right at the house. It was awesome to have fishing spots so close. The location was great for us too; close to some touristy things but great spots to hike and bike were very close as well. The host was amazing and even though the dryer did not work in our arrival she came up with alternatives for us. Stuff……

“We had a great getaway at Barney’s Retreat. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the river and lucked out with fireworks every night. Having easy access to the river even allowed us to get our usually anti-water golden retriever to wade in and she realized she actually enjoys the water!Location is about 20 minutes from downtown Luray and we enjoyed getting to explore with that area had to offer. Would recommend ”

“We absolutely loved staying at The Perch and look forward to staying here again. The cabin itself was perfect for us and the location on the river cant be beat! We enjoyed seeing the heron and osprey while out in the canoe as well as each day from the comfort of the two rocking chairs and hammock near the river!”

“Overall a great place with everything you need. The king bed was very comfortable. The wifi worked great (and we used a VPN). You could tell the house was recently remodeled. And the communication was exceptional. Cher sent us check-in instructions and listed everthing the house offered, including how the house was stocked with all the amenities, towels, salt/pepper/spices, coffee, cooking oils, aluminum foil, seran wrap etc. As for potential improvements to make the stay better, we'd……
