“The purpose of my stay in Castle Cary was to go visit the Newt in Somerset.I was warmly greeted and thanks to Martin’s lifts to and from the Newt made it so easy.the house is amazing.the garden backs unto fields.It is idyllic.

“This was the first time i have stayed at an apartment as normal use hotels, but this maybe the way forward for me as a frequent traveler.
It was like home from home with some very nice touches which whilst simple but milk in the fridge was great especially for the cup of tea in the morning.

“Really great room for the price, with soft and harder chairs and a good sized desk for working;
Bathroom was well appointed with large walk in shower cubicle and plenty of towels on a heated rail;
Tea / coffee, etc, supplied on a tray and a small fridge provided for personal use with 'top up' supplies provisioned in a cupboard on the landing;
Room was very quiet regarding adjacent rooms but some road noise, etc, apparent for road-facing rooms;
Car parking for approx 6 vehicles in a private……
“We stayed in Room 8 for four nights and had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was made to order by the chef and was absolutely delicious. The dinners were magnificent – and the Sunday roast was one of the best we've ever had! Everything was made from scratch, with perfectly cooked vegetables and a choice of pork, beef, lamb, or chicken (or even a mix of meats!).
Even though it was Mother’s Day and fully booked, the quality and portions were just as high – no drop in standards at all. Highly……
“We arrived a little before 8 pm after a long journey. Very friendly young staff at check on and another who saw us bringing in cases for upstairs room and immediately offered to help. (Historic property has steep stairs.) Quirky room with en suite cleverly included ( though up another three steps.) We were delighted that food was still being served in the restaurant - excellent Iberian menu prepared by a Portuguese chef. Very generous portions. We had tapas to start with, but then couldn't……

“Terri was amazing. She greeted us like friends and showed us the room and what a room.
There were 3 of us and we had a bedroom and a sitting area with a sofa bed, a bathroom and a kitchenette.
The room was spotless and the building old and quirky which we loved.
Breakfast was amazing with a full english and buffet.
Overall everything was perfect.
