“Helensdale is a fantastic place to stay. The views from the living room are incredible, I always take binoculars with me wherever I go as I enjoy bird watching (there are some binoculars in the property) and looking out on the bay was fantastic. I saw an array of birds and even managed to see 2 seals and a porpoise. Also on a clear day you can see the coastline of Northern Ireland. “We stayed 6 Nights and found a cottage with very modern furniture, all you Need in the kitchen, own BBQ Grill Outside including Picnic Area. Allthough Its in the countryside, with a lot of nature around (trees, River, sheep, Cattle, birds and Flowers- you have a stabile wifi Connection. So What ever you seek- you are able to totally relax and disconnect or connect via the net. The Host family is Nice and live also on the ground in case you Need anything. Galloway Forest Park is nearby with walks……

“The house was perfect for our family of 7, with four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All rooms were a good size with a large kitchen dinner. The bonus for us with two teenage grandchildren was the pool table and table tennis. Would go back anytime.”
