“Spacious home with all the desirable vacation amenities. The house was large enough for a gathering of at least 10 people if not more. There are only two bathrooms despite having 5 bedrooms, so keep that in mind. The property seemed to be designed with a “man cave” focus, minus a pool table; large TVs in every room with a grand outdoor kitchen. We could not wait until sunrise to see the beautiful views on top of the mountain. I would caution that a good vehicle is needed to get up to the house……

“This place has everything you need! As I enjoyed the amenities, I found just what I wanted, the right kind of tea, the oils I prefer, the cappuccino machine, good speakers for music, , the golf cart with a rain cover so we could enjoy the gorgeous outdoor when it sprinkled.And then my kids didn’t leave that basketball court and they were happy to find basketballs there/c theirs popped. The kids played ping pong and my oldest loved working out and occupying the poolhouse. Great spot and super……

“The land is beautiful! We enjoyed paddle boarding and canoeing at the lake in the mornings and late afternoons, as well as going to the river to splash in the water. It was very relaxing to drink our coffee at the porch while watching the multiple birds, and going back at night to see the milkway in the clear sky. It is a working farm, and people live next door, so expect some noise and equipment running at times, but everyone was friendly and respectful. Diane is a very friendly host who……

“My wife and I were looking for a place that wasnt too far from the redwoods. This was almost a 2 hour drive but the scenery was awesome. We also checked out the local towns one day and those were great too. At the end of the night we were able to have a fire in the wood burner and get toasty warm. For what we were looking for, the place was great!”

“We were only here for one night and the weather was too chilly to take a dip in the pool. Parking was close to the guest house/pool. Nicely decorated but it’s small. Fortunately lots of outdoor space! Bed was very comfortable. Nice towels and many toiletries provided. Perfect location if you are looking to tour the Redwoods. Two things that kept me from giving 5 star rating were: there was old coffee(how old?) in the pot and the refrigerator is located outside of the unit and it wasn’t clean.”

“This home is a gem in Southern Humboldt. Just steps from the historic Benbow golf course. My kids loved the pool, it’s big and deep. Easy access right off Hwy 101, near the town of Garberville with good grocery stores. Close to Redwood groves and swimming holes on the Eel River. Comfortable beds and amazing views.”
