Situated a little more than an hour from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, we were able to visit both cities and retreat to the quiet castle at night. “I echo all the 10/10 reviews. We too brought our e-bikes and took several wonderful rides around old Mandeville. The bike trails are the best I’ve ridden. Lake Pontchartrain shoreline is a short stroll away, and there are many nearby eateries and watering holes to experience. The cottage is awesome. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. It was perfect for our stay.”

“When a group a family who isn’t related but is more like family than actual family needs to get together for a long weekend, this is the place to stay. We had multiple families stay here, we organized meals to split between all the families, and we had plenty enough room for all of us. The detached cottage was adorable.
