“May need to check their bookings more closely, I received a call two days before we were scheduled to check out stating we did not get our things out of the cabin, this was a moment of panic for us! After calling them back they did see that we were not supposed to checkout that day! Even though the grounds were beautiful it was hard to enjoy because it felt like you were always being watched by the caretakers whose house was connected to the cabin we stayed in. We are birders, and we were absolutely delighted to find that there were well over a hundred nene's (Hawaiian geese) living here! These birds are supposedly endangered, but the golf course is a nene sanctuary, it seems! We liked this location, which is not nearly expensive as Waikoloa Beach, but is not far……
