“Cozy farmhouse with lots of land. Well maintained and beautifully redone home. ”

“I coach a 13U, here for the weekend. You can see FOD from the home, half a mile away. We loved the place for informal little stops by other parents and players between games and obligations. Tons of lawn space to play catch or whiffle, grass was perfect. Used the grill and deck for a cookout, excellent. The home was spacious and comfortable, had everything we needed, and of course laundry was appreciated. Lastly, the star of the show was Willow, their super cute dog on site…loved everyone, she……

“This unique place has it all: charm, class, comfort, beauty, and fun. When you first walk in, you are greeted with a gorgeous staircase leading to most of the rooms. Our room was spacious, with a luxurious bathroom. The gourmet kitchen is equipped for anything and everything with seating for eight. The adjoining dining room has a large table with additional seating and windows lining two walls. And clean! This VRBO was impressively clean! I have to say the jail was a little eery after dark, but……

We appreciated the fact that a blow up mattress was purchased for our stay as we had more than 8 people!! The property manager was very receptive to messages and flexible when we had an unexpected change in our schedule. “We have stayed at the Elkader Jail House many times and the Harstad Suite is a great room for the 4 of us. The large kitchen and family space on the first floor provide plenty of space for everyone to get together and relax. Its nearby my family and takes the stress off anyone needing to make space for all of us to sleep. Its comfortable, clean and an easy to walk downtown. We'll be back soon!”

“Located near the field of dreams site, this clean house has a neat theme that reflects the proximity of the field of dreams site. Much information about that and other points of interest was made available by the host. The downtown location made it easy to walk the short distance to shops and restaurants there. It was also the perfect base for exploration of further away cities like Dubuque, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Guttenberg and Galena, all within reasonably easy driving distance. All in……
