Situated a little more than an hour from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, we were able to visit both cities and retreat to the quiet castle at night. The resident Hemingway cat that oversaw the property was very affectionate. Bring cat treats! We will stay again. Thank you Marcus.”

“We stayed the weekend for my husband's 50th birthday. The location is perfect. The cabin was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. We walked to Middendorf's for dinner and the boat launch is a 5 min drive. It's on a side road and there is plenty of room to easily park with a boat in tow. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings. It was fun to watch the birds and the trains going through. Sunrises and sunsets are absolutely amazing in the swamp. Although it is south……

“Our vacation 2025 in Lacombe, LA was one for the books for sure, seen and experienced things we never thought we would get to see and do. We have so many memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. The home was so beautiful and peaceful being on the water. We got to see alligators every day while we were staying. The home was so much more beautiful and awesome, the pictures do not show the true beauty this home offers. Laura the host, was the best host ever!! She provided just about everything……

“unfortunately, we reserved this property for myself and my three children as we were bringing in my son’s birthday. When we walked in the property, there was a roach in the master bath, the main door was not clean, there was a smell and mildew. There was visual mildew around the guest bathroom.. for the property managers request. I provided pictures of evidence upon check-in and received. No urgent communication.. unfortunately we lost our money and have not heard back from the property manager……
