“This place is awesome and the gentleman that owns it is the kindest man you could imagine. It was like staying at my grandfather's house. Nothing fancy, but considering the alternatives in the area, the cleanliness and comfort far exceeded my expectations. Just a couple miles from tippy dam AND he has canoes and kayaks!! 10/10”

“We enjoyed our week here. The property is peaceful, and the owners are friendly and helpful. The common space is nice and open (the photos don't totally do it justice), and the bedrooms are comfortable. The beach was heavenly, and the sunsets were amazing! Also, there are bald eagles nesting nearby, and we got to see them on several occasions. A few more labels and instructions in/around the unit would be helpful. “The property brought back that nostalgia past! Very clean, beds comfortable! Walk out of your room to a small patio and sit on very nice rockers and stare out on the water and watch the boats go by! If you need all the amenities and outlets in all the rooms, not the place for you! If you want peace and to reflect this is your place! They are updating and working on the electrical! So.. more outlets to come! Trista in the office very sweet and helpful on places to eat! You do have to go to the……

“There was a nice, quiet, atmosphere, just like being at home. The place was beautiful and well cleaned! Excellent breakfast and conversations with our hostess (the owner). My husband and I appreciated the location too - walking distance to either downtown or the nearby lake. We gladly walked downtown to browse the shops and saw a movie at the local theater. I normally toss and turn when away from home but here, the bed was comfortable and I got plenty of sleep! We will definitely stay……

“We had a great time in Manistee! The house was beautiful - we especially loved drinking coffee on the large porch and relaxing there at night before going to bed (and petting the adorable cats). It was super close to downtown as well which made it convenient. The food/coffee in the morning was delicious. And the host was incredibly nice & welcoming! We definitely recommend this place if you’re traveling to manistee.”
