“My husband and I as well as our oldest daughter and son in law stayed in cabin 9. It was perfect in many ways, very welcoming. Peaceful nature but close to town and MIS for Nascar. Our host, John, was very helpful. I would recommend a nightlight for the cabin as it is very dark if you have to get up in the middle of the night. Highly recommend. ”

“We came to town for a martial arts competition in Saline. We found this campground/retreat center online and it was much more affordable than many of the other properties we looked at and provided the space we needed for our extended family joining us. Host made sure we were in two units of the same cabin which was really nice. “Close to MIS! Very Clean and quiet. It’s like indoor camping. Didn’t use the fire pit area but what a great option for groups. Floor is a bit warped in the bedrooms and bathroom door didn’t close shut. Remember there is not WiFi or tv but having Verizon, our cell phones did work in the area. Contact with owner was great.”

“My friends and I stayed at the Golden Retreat in February 2025. We were looking for a place close to metro Detroit, on the water & affordable and this place ticked all the boxes. Place was cozy, comfortable and had all of the basic necessities we needed for our getaway. “Nice property but we did have some issues. To be fair, the host did their best to correct them.The biggest issue is that the house is on a well and the drinking water was terrible. Be sure to bring drinking water with you.The second issue was that the house had very poor water pressure, probably do to the well. Be sure to check with the host before booking to make sure this issue is fixed!Overall we had a very positive experience and the host was great to work with.”
