“When you first walk in, it will go into the kitchen and it feels like grandma is waiting for you. The home has been kept up, It has not been remodeled. We absolutely love this. The sturdy hardwood cabinets, the oversize leather chair, and sofa make you feel at home. The huge yard with the fire pit is absolutely amazing. There is a short trail and you will find yourself at the river. It is the home of 107 year-old Mary Epperson. You will find a couple of family pictures and a brief biography……

“We stayed at leatherwood for one night and headed a couple of miles down the road to the outfitter before starting our paddle trip. Leatherwood is a great and spacious house with everything you need. If you’re driving in the dark the sign can be a bit hard to see but if you’re looking out for it, it’s no problem at all! Would absolutely come back!”

“This small house is super cute. And it has all the amenities we wanted, including an outdoor hot tub and laundry machines in the big bathroom. Oh, and the central air conditioning worked great.I'm 6'8"so it was unfortunately short for me inside. I couldn't stand up straight in there. And the door frame of course made the entry even lower. But the shower, surprisingly, is not very low in comparison.Be ready for some gravel country roads, because you have to drive on a mile and a half of gravel to……

“One of the best vacation properties we have ever enjoyed. The pictures do not do it justice. Mornings and evenings on the deck were so peaceful. The house is beautiful, and the hosts have truly thought of everything. Our grandkids loved the toys and coloring books. “The home is fascinating. We could have wandered throughout it for days.The detail and design are amazing. Kathy is a lovely host and the grounds are gorgeous. We were fortunate enough to see the falls in all their glory and hiked to the lower and upper levels. The deck has perfect views of all things nature and bird watching which made for a great backdrop to relax and catch up. Also, this house was SPOTLESS (a hard feat so embedded in nature).
