“The neighborhood was creepy. Mail was on the doorstep unopened, the owner never communicated the code to get in. I sent a text/email and never got a response. The neighbors were doing drugs. … some sort of sniffing, smoking?!? We felt totally unsafe and went to an Embassy Suites. I would expect a full refund and have contacted my credit card company to enter a complaint. I would never recommend this place to anyone !!!”

“It is important to note that this house was originally built as an Inn in 1714 if I remember correctly, so it is over 300 years old. It has had a lot of modifications since then, but what you are getting is an opportunity to essentially sleep in a museum. There are various things throughout the house that might leave you scratching your head, crooked door frames and light switches that are in weird places, and obviously there is wear-and-tear on floors and walls, but it all contributes to the……

“The dome and surrounding areas looks like it does in the photos, and using the compost toilet, shower, etc were pretty easy even for a camping novice like myself. The farm is beautiful and quiet. Good opportunities for birding too. I never saw or heard the gentlemen who live in the farmhouse, I only saw their cars come and go. I came here for rest and a connection to nature, and that’s what I got. I’d love to come back in the future! I think it would be even nicer later in the spring.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the property. Property is newly renovated and has everything you need. Very clean and conveniently located near food and stores. Our stay included traveling to Chesapeake Inn Restaurant and Marina to experience their cruises, dine at the restaurant, and enjoy their annual car show- this property was maybe 15-20 mins away from Chesapeake City.
