“The hotel is situated in wonderful grounds. The room we had was spacious and clean. Would have preferred a larger shower than an oversized bathtub though! The staff were extraordinarily friendly and attentive. The food was incredible and some of the best we have had at any hotel. Great place to use as a base while in the area. They have set the bar extremely high, just hope they can maintain it!”

The pool was wonderful on a hot day. Plenty of beds in the morning and a great escape to the air conditioning in the afternoon. Nicest bunch of people made this a great stay. “Really enjoyed my stay here. I normally stay in modern hotels so this was a change for me. The town is lovely with narrow streets and old buildings so took a while to find the car park to the rear but that’s on me. From check in to check out though everything was an absolute pleasure. The young lady on the desk checked me in promptly and actually showed me to my room instead of just passing a key and having to try and find it in this quaint old building. Room was nice, fitting for the building……
