“My mom and I (and dogs) were looking for a nice place to stay during our annual drive around The Thumb of Michigan. We chose this location due to its proximity to a specific restaurant (lol), and we're so glad we did! The property was beautiful, and Darcy was an excellent host.”

“Mike the owner was great and lives just down the road if any issues arise…he’s super nice and helpful…place is a great location for fishing…the dock was the best part with easy access to shore power…Mike has all the bumpers and rope already in place for you…smaller boats can slip under the bridge in the canal next to the place and hit the bay in just minutes…parking is tight for one truck and trailer but otherwise a great place…several good local eatery’s close by…you can even Doordash to the……

“Seven of us stayed there. My girlfriend drove there. My buddy and his family drove there. My daughter and I arrived by boat. Having a boathouse was very cool that I didn't have to cover my boat. The view was amazing. Upstairs master bedroom is very roomy. There's a dollar store and a Kroger within a mile of the property that has everything you can get food, toys supplies. The kids like d going to dairy Queen on their bikes. Overall it was a property that I will visit again, great communication……

“This was my third time staying here and once again my friend and I were very pleased. There is very little you need to bring for a stay here. There are your normal items plus coolers, beach towels, outdoor chairs, and more. And if it’s not there, I’m sure Mike will get it for you - he lives next door. Although the place sits across from the busy highway and billboards, it’s still very peaceful. And it’s very relaxing to sit on one of two patios and watch the boats go by. My friend and I like……

“Harbor House has a wonderful view of the river and we enjoyed being able to walk to stores and restaurants. The owners were so pleasant and helpful. The house was spotless. This was a group of 3 siblings so we had plenty of room. The sunroom had a wonderful view but, if you actually had 10 people in the house, it would be good to have a better way of closing it off from the rest of the house. ”

My family & I all had the best time reconnecting and making memories in a beautiful setting on the lake:) My mom had just passed not long ago and she raised my brother & I here in Fort Gratiot and a sister from Georgia came as well! She loved the beach and I’m sure she was smiling down seeing us all together! ”
