“Like a doc hut, host drove us in an ATV front the road end to the hut. River nearby and lots of beautiful bush to explore. ”

“Hi we only had one night here sadly. I’m from Christchurch and was with Wellington family. We had never ventured here before and wow the view is unmatched. Our favourite moments were wandering the nearby track to the lighthouse at sunset and enjoying breakfast on the deck (which is right in the shore) as the sun streamed in. Owner was very helpful and was open to hearing our suggestions on some tweaks. Comfortable beds and couch with a well supplied kitchen.”

“Lovely character home with some interesting quirks. Has peaceful stream running through the property, and a lake. Very comfortable with a covered deck outside the room. Really good water pressure. Copious animals to amuse. Really friendly dogs to welcome guests but not at all annoying. Dopey sheep the driveway but quite easy to round up if a couple decide to make a break for it when opening the gate! Very satisfying once accomplished. Need to order breakfast separately but excellent options……

“We came for a week of much needed R&R. The bach was so comfortable and well equipped with great indoor and outdoor spaces. Beds were super comfortable - we spent most of our time sleeping! The fire was a cosy touch too. Thank you for having us!”

“The house was exactly as described. The set up was very good, bedrooms had space and were comfortable.The living area was spacious.Appliances were adequate.The deck area was good.The weather was excellent in general.Two suggestions:-Firstly would be a heat pump for the house which could obviously be used for a/c when needed.The second is while the beach is very close the way down is quite difficult for an older person. ”
