“We loved our stay here. The view of the mountains is stunning, the house was comfortable and well furnished, and Miguel was very responsive to any questions. It’s only a short drive to Woodstock where you can get good food/coffee/etc. and near a lot of great parks and hikes. I’m sure it would be gorgeous in the fall or winter and we would definitely come back to this property. The driveway is steep so a larger car is helpful but if you drive slowly most vehicles would likely be fine. The kitchen……

“Gorgeous peaceful retreat! Booked a last minute stay for my family of four, and could not have been more pleased. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the setting was beautiful. From morning coffee on the deck to stargazing it was as perfect. John’s welcome packet has great tips for nearby restaurants and sites that we enjoyed, and lots of helpful info. Would go back in a heartbeat. ”

The hot tub was fantastic, especially after a long hike, and it was cool watching Castle in the Sky in the middle of the woods. We were even visited by a Rosy Maple Moth in the middle of the movie, and I had never seen one of those in real life before! Definitely would stay again!”

“Had a wonderful stay at the Walden. Found the cabin to be neat and clean. Check in process was simple with lock box and code provided just prior to arrival. The location feels secluded although there are neighbors you can’t see them and rarely hear them. The private spot on the river is perfect for fishing, floating and wading. Can’t wait to go back. ”
